It was another one of those rare sunny days we seem to get once a week now. It was a good day to go out and have lunch with a friend at the local diner followed by a brisk hike into the nearby woods. Lunch at the Hometown Diner was as mediocre as I remember… Continue reading Rails to Trails – Rindge NH
A gorgeous hike through Casalis State Forest feeds my mind and soul.
I find myself hiking past a historical landmark where hostages were once exchanged from the Narragansett, Wampanoag and Nashaway/Nipmuc back to the English Puritans in the late 1600’s.

So I thought the sculpture garden in Brookline might be the ticket. So after my little Polar Cave adventure I decided I still had a little time to do something more appropriate for an adult, perhaps a good old fashioned hike into the woods? I had noticed signs coming up for āQuincy Bogā and Iām a bit of a sucker at stopping at bogs, mostly because I… Continue reading Quincy Bog – Rumney New Hampshire
This morning I decided to go out for another adventure and it occurred to me that I have yet to see any caves in New England. I wasnāt even sure if we have any caves but a quick Google search landed me at the Polar Caves in Rumney NH, which is about two hours away.… Continue reading Polar Caves – Rumney New Hampshire
